5 lbs. chicken breast- cut into one inch cubes
1 piece of fresh ginger- about 2 inches long and peeled
5 cloves of garlic
1/2 large bell peppers - seeds removed
1 cup of olive oil
1 tbsp. turmeric
1 tbsp smoked paprika
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper


Place the chicken In a large bowl and set aside.

Place the ginger, garlic, bell peppers in a blender and blend it until it becomes liquid. Pour the liquid over the chicken and add the oil and the rest of the spices on top. Mix the chicken well with the mixture and wrap the bowl tight with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least over night or 24 hours before grilling.

Heat up the girl or Barbecue and take about six or seven pieces of the marinated chicken and put onto the skewers. Place the skewers over the hot grill and every 6 or 10 seconds turn them over till the chicken are done. Keep the skewers moving to different parts of the grill. This way the chicken will cook evenly. Soak the skewers in water for an hour before using to prevent burning. Serve the chicken kebab with pita or flat bread, Afghani salad with yogurt sauce or spicy chutney.
